Overview

Welcome to the only official website for the SATURDAY MORNING AMATEUR FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION, Which up until June 2022 was known as the Strathclyde Saturday Morning Amateur Football League

The league was originally known as the STRATHCLYDE SATURDAY MORNING CIVIL SERVICE LEAGUE and formed in 1962. The league attracted good quality players, and a 16year Kenny Burns played in the league before turning pro and going on to be a Scottish International. A full list of our historical winners is at the bottom of this page

We had originally believed that it was 1971, and therefore we missed our 50th anniversary. However, thanks to the grace of the Scottish Amateur FA, we celebrated, a few years belatedly, on Saturday 9th June 2018 at the Marriott Hotel, Argyll Street.
